Position Summary:

A group of Companies is looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to manage their Pharmaceutical and Construction business units’ financial strategy, risk management, and regulatory compliance. The CFO will be responsible for financial planning, corporate governance, and investment policy while maintaining compliance with local tax regulations, SECP regulations, and financial requirements specific to the industry. This position necessitates an experienced finance leader who thoroughly understands management of multi-sector finances in the Pakistan market.

The CFO shall coordinate closely with Finance Managers, Senior Finance Officers, and other cross-functional groups in order to drive maximum financial performance, achieve optimal operational efficiencies, and underpin strategic-level executive decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy, Budgeting & Planning:

• Design and execute elaborate financial strategies and policies in tune with the group’s long-term vision.
• Manage annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and cost control for Pharma & Construction business units.
• Present data-driven financial insights and strategic advice to the CEO & Board of Directors on business growth and expansion.
• Maintain financial stability, liquidity, and profitability through improving cash flow management and capital allocation.

Financial Reporting & Consolidation:

• Manage consolidation of financial statements between Pharmaceutical and Construction divisions.
• Guarantee the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Track business unit profitability, cost behavior, and financial KPIs for risk identification and opportunities.

Taxation, Regulatory Compliance & Corporate Governance:

• Compliance with FBR, SECP and DRAP regulatory guidelines.
• Manage corporate tax planning, sales tax, withholding tax compliance, and tax returns on an annual basis while ensuring tax efficiency optimization.
• Ensure effective internal audits, external audits, and statutory financial reporting in accordance with regulatory standards.
• Adhere to sound corporate governance practices, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and legal standards.

Risk Management & Internal Controls:

• Detect, evaluate, and manage financial, operational, and market risks related to both Pharmaceutical and Construction sectors.
• Institute effective internal controls and financial policies to protect company assets and deter fraud.
• Establish risk management structures to secure financial viability and company resilience.

Investment, Banking & Fund Management:

• Coordinate corporate funding, banking relationships, and investment portfolios to finance business growth.
• Maximize working capital, debt funding, and fund management to guarantee effective financial operation.

ERP & Financial Systems Optimization:

• Ensure complete integration and optimization of ERP/accounting systems (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or local ERP) for real-time financial reporting.
• Drive automation and digital transformation programs in financial operations to improve efficiency and accuracy.

Leadership, Team Development & Stakeholder Management:

• Lead and mentor Finance Managers, Senior Finance Officers, and Finance Assistants to build a high-performing finance function.
• Develop a culture of financial discipline, innovation, and continuous improvement.
• Negotiate with banks, investors, regulatory bodies, and external auditors to ensure uncomplicated financial dealings and regulatory compliance.

Industry Expertise: 

• Strong industry expertise in both Pharmaceutical and Construction is strongly preferred.

Technical Knowledge:

• Expertise in financial planning, corporate finance, and investment management.
• In-depth tax law, financial regulations, and IFRS accounting standards knowledge.
• ERP/accounting system experience (SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or local ERP solutions).

Leadership & Strategic Skills:

• Strong decision-making, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to implement financial efficiencies, cost reduction programs, and risk management programs.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
