Position Summary:
A group of Companies is seeking a Finance Officer to support financial operations, cost estimation, and tax compliance in their construction company. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of project-based finance, BOQ preparation, and taxation laws related to construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management & Reporting
• Help prepare financial statements, budgeting, and cash flow analysis.
• Track project costs, revenue, and expenses to maintain financial stability.
• Provide monthly and quarterly financial statements to senior management.
Taxation & Compliance
• Make and file of sales and income tax returns.
• Collaborate with auditors for annual audits and tax reviews.
BOQ Preparation & Estimation of Cost
• Help in the preparation of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and project estimates of cost.
• Coordinate with the engineering and procurement departments in following up material prices and labor charges.
• Keep close watch on budget variances and maintain cost control on projects.
Project Finance & Vendor Management
• Help manage vendor payments, supplier invoices, and subcontractor contracts.
• Keep track of accounts payable & receivable for easy cash flow.
• Manage bank reconciliations and financial records.
ERP & Financial Systems
• Collaborate with ERP/accounting software (SAP, QuickBooks, Oracle, or local software) for financial reporting.
• Maintain proper bookkeeping and reconciliation of project finances.
Technical Skills:
• Profound financial reporting, BOQ preparation, and ERP software knowledge.
Soft Skills:
• Good analytical skills, problem-solving skills, and focus.
