Position Summary:
A group of Companies is seeking for a very detail-oriented and organized Inventory Officer to coordinate and control building material inventories, site inventory, and coordination of procurements. The Inventory Officer shall maintain adequate records of inventory, coordinate timely supply of materials, and cost-saving management of inventories to facilitate ease of project execution.
The ideal candidate must possess experience in construction inventory, stock management, and coordination with the site and procurement teams.
Major Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Stock Control
• Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements, and consumption reports.
• Implement and manage inventory control processes to prevent losses and discrepancies.
• Conduct regular stock audits and physical verifications to ensure proper tracking.
• Ensure efficient storage, handling, and issuance of inventory at warehouses and project sites.
Asset Tagging & Fixed Asset Management:
• Implement a systematic asset tagging process for all fixed and moveable assets.
• Maintain an updated asset register, tracking asset allocation, transfers, and disposals.
• Ensure proper depreciation calculation and reporting of fixed assets in coordination with the finance department.
• Conduct physical verification of assets to reconcile records with actual holdings.
Procurement & Vendor Coordination:
• Assist the procurement team in tracking purchase orders, deliveries, and inventory replenishment.
• Ensure proper documentation and record-keeping for all incoming and outgoing inventory.
• Work with vendors to ensure timely deliveries and maintain supplier relationships.
Safety & Compliance Standards:
• Adhere to company protocols, procurement SOPs, and local law.
• Use appropriate handling and storage methods to prevent loss and deterioration of material.
Technical Skills:
• Good understanding of construction materials and procurement process.
• Microsoft Excel skills in stock monitoring and reporting.
Soft Skills:
• Sound organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously.
